Fabrication of flexible semiconductors using molecular self-assembly

We have developed a highly flexible semiconducting fabric via self-assembly of N-glycosyl naphthalimides on cotton fabric anchored through H-bonding. Interestingly, semiconducting fabric displayed enhanced conductivity compared to the assembled thin film, which could show promise in sustainable development of flexible organic electronics.
